In their own words. River Watch vistors say it all...
"It's early and it's our last morning sipping coffee in the Adirondacks by the water. In the immortal words of Jeff Godlblum from the movie, The Big Chill, '...We took a vote and we're never leaving.' Okay... if we have to leave, we are definitely coming back! We took advantage of your kayaks, we found a nice four-mile run around the cove, picked wildflowers, took tons of photos, barbecued steaks, sipped wine and were humbled by the breathtaking sunsets. Each night when we finally tumbled into our very comfy bed, it was a treat to look up and see the stars. We took day trips to Camden, Rockland, Castine, Belfast....but... next time, next visit, we won't do so much. Each day we couldn't wait to return and sit in 'our' chairs by the water sipping wine and thanking God we were lucky enough to stumble onto River Watch."

"River Watch has been a beautiful, peaceful retreat for us this week. We've been fascinated by the high and low tides and. We had so much fun in the kayaks - thank you! I found everything I needed in your kitchen and loved using it. You were so thorough in providing for our needs - We felt very cared for... We are sorry it is time to leave but we had a memorable stay!" (Fran from Texas)
"We have had a lovely week in this comfortable and beautiful place. There were six days of sunshine (with breezes), and just a touch of picturesque fog each early morning. We rambled the region; Amalfi gave us an excellent supper one night. All just perfect. Thank you for the lovely place - so well sited and appointed! We are refreshed, renewed, and reluctant to leave."
(Nancy from Massachusetts)
"Beautiful weather and much fun swimming and kayaking off the rocks, dinners at Dip Net in Port Clyde, living life around the tides..."
(Cece from Connecticut)
"A beautiful week with the family at River Watch comes to a close. Thank you, Kathryn and Joe, for sharing this beautiful, serene spot with us. There's such an intimacy with nature here. We are all dreading the return to our congested daily lives. Hopefully, we can carry some of the peace into our lives at home."
